Heather Crockett
Dr. Heather Crockett is a seasoned, dedicated dentist with a deep commitment to oral health and a passion for serving underserved communities. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and and Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Yale University.
With extensive leadership experience, Dr. Heather has overseen multiple dental clinics, school-based health programs, and mobile dentistry units in federally qualified health centers. Before founding Rosebud Dental & Wellness, she served as the Dental Director at Equitas Health and Lower Lights Christian Health Center in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Heather is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements. She actively pursues continuing education and additional certifications, ensuring her patients receive innovative treatments that reflect the best practices in modern biological dentistry.
Her dedication to both dentistry and community health has earned her recognition as one of the “40 Under 40 Top Dentists in America,” highlighting her impact and leadership in the field.

Personal Health Journey And Vision For Rosebud Dental & Wellness
During her personal health journey, Dr. Crockett faced challenges that led her to seek the expertise of a functional medicine MD. Their holistic approach helped her address the root cause of her health issues, leading to a life-changing breakthrough. This transformative experience opened her eyes to the potential synergies between functional medicine and dentistry.
Motivated by this insight, she delved into the realm of biologic dentistry—a discipline that considers the impact of oral health on the entire body. Some call it “holistic, integrative or biomimetic dentistry”. Dr. Crockett sees herself as a wellness dentist, recognizing the interconnectedness of the pillars of wellness and that true health is not just the absence of disease.
This exploration inspired the vision for Rosebud Dental & Wellness, where they aim to provide not only exceptional dental care but also wellness services that address the interconnected aspects of health.
Professional Journey
Following dental school, Dr. Crockett completed a General Practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center in Dayton, OH. This pivotal experience allowed her to treat medically compromised patients and obtain advanced training in all aspects of dentistry. These formative years shaped her commitment to providing comprehensive and specialized care to a diverse range of patients.
Leadership Roles
She has held significant leadership roles in Federally Qualified health centers providing dental care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. As the Chief Dental Officer at Community Health Center Inc., Dr. Crockett had the privilege of overseeing seven dental clinics, school-based health dental clinics, and mobile dentistry units. When she returned to Ohio, she served as Director of Dental Services at Equitas Health and, most recently, as the Dental Director at Lower Lights Christian Health Center. These positions provided her with unique opportunities to implement innovative strategies and elevate the standard of dental care for underserved communities.

She is honored to have been recognized for her contributions to dentistry and community health. Dr. Crockett was awarded the prestigious “40 Under 40 Top Dentist in America” accolade, a testament to her commitment to excellence in dental care and advocacy for oral health.

In addition to her local efforts, Dr. Crockett is deeply committed to global outreach. She has served on mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, and Haiti, providing education and essential dental care to underserved populations in these regions. These experiences have enriched her understanding of diverse oral health needs and reinforced her belief in the power of compassionate and comprehensive dental care.
